Vintage Hotel Ritz Paris Framed Luggage Label
Located in the heart of Paris, the hotel overlooks the Place Vendôme in the city's 1st arrondissement. This historic hotel was founded in 1898 by César Ritz and quickly became a destination for royalty, celebrities, and politicians. Some of the hotel's most famous guests include Coco Chanel, Ernest Hemingway, and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Originally affixed to steamer trunks and suitcases, luggage labels were subtle markers of status—signaling where one had traveled and, more importantly, where one had stayed. Today, they remain among the most collectible artifacts of early luxury travel.
